Celina claims She was manhandled by Tusshar

Tusshar Kapoor is too much of a good boy to let anything get in the way of his work. Professional to a fault, he won't let anything or anyone to bring the shooting to a halt not even his best buddy Celina Jaitly.When provoked this seedha and shaant boy can get quite ferocious as Celina discovered. Recently, the actor had a showdown with her, followed by a cold war for a few days.Tusshar reveals, "We were rehearsing for the song Achcho Ki Kya Logi Kya for Run Bhola Run along with Govinda and Ameesha. I wanted our steps to be perfectly synchronised so a few minutes before the song was to be shot, we were rehearsing the steps with choreographers Bosco-Caesar.
I guess in my quest for perfection, I might've grabbed her arm tightly. The next day, she accused me of having bruised her hand so badly that she almost had to take a break from shooting!" This irritated Tusshar.
I'll prove it!
He continues, "She showed the purple-and-blue bruises on her hands. I told her all heroines complain that heroes hurt them but she must have hurt herself while working out. Celina got really upset and started screaming for the choreographers and her make-up guy to come over and prove that I had done it." to which the actor said: "Then why do you wear such stupidly high heels which made it difficult for us to match steps?"
Angry words were exchanged from both sides, after which they stopped speaking to each other.
Celina says, "Tusshar not only bruised my hands but broke my bangle which my designer found difficult to replace. And then he refused to believe that he had hurt me so badly. I didn't speak to him for three days; we even ignored each other when we met at a party too."
She adds that it was Tusshar who made the first move to patch up. "Tusshar broke the ice after three days. It's true he's a sweetheart and a perfectionist but he should know that he can't hurt dainty girls."
Rakhi takes search for a husband to Prime time TV

A reality television show based on ancient Hindu rituals is aiming to strike a blow against India’s tradition of arranged marriages. Rakhi Sawant, a Bollywood dancer, actress and television host, has refused a union brokered by her parents. Instead, she has promised to find the perfect man herself — with the aid of a prime time TV series.
Rakhi Ka Swayamvar (Rakhi’s Search for a Husband) has attracted more than 12,500 aspirant grooms from across the subcontinent. The show is due to begin later this month but the outspoken celebrity’s promise to marry on air has already whipped up controversy in what remains a rigidly conservative country.
The show’s producers admit to being shocked when Ms Sawant first pitched the idea for the show — but they deny being part of a stunt designed purely to win ratings.
Rather, they insist, the message is one of female empowerment.
The series will be based on the ancient but now largely neglected practice of swayamvara, where a young woman picks a husband for herself from a group of hopeful suitors, often by putting them through a series of tests.
The most famous example appears in the Ramayana, the 2,500-year-old Sanskrit epic, with Ram, the Hindu god, chosen as a husband by the heroine Sita after he wins a trial of strength by bending the bow of Lord Shiva.
A recent survey by the International Institute for Population Sciences found that 95 per cent of marriages in India today are arranged by the families of the bride and groom. More than 70 per cent of married women between the ages of 15 and 24 said that they were never asked their views on their future husband before their wedding. About a quarter said that their first sexual experience within marriage was forced.
“Over the past 500 years girls in India have lost the right to ask questions about who they marry,” Shailja Kejriwal of NDTV Imagine, the channel that has created Rakhi Ka Swayamvar, said. “I really hope this series, which is all about a strong woman choosing her own husband, will address that. It’s about empowerment.”
Conservative Hindus, who have vehemently opposed the infiltration of Western cultural ideas into India, are almost certain to object.
A spokesman for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, India’s most powerful hardline Hindu group, made plain his disapproval of the series. “We prefer arranged marriages,” he told The Times. “They are part of an old and good tradition.”
For her part, 30-year-old Ms Sawant has said that she is looking for a husband who combines the best attributes of Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan — three hugely wealthy Bollywood superstars.
The producers admit that it probably rules out the thousands of would-be husbands who have applied to appear on the show from India’s poor rural villages.
“We have to be realistic,” Ms Kejriwal said. “The series will look for a compatible husband. I can’t see a celebrity like Rakhi marrying somebody from a village. That would be foolish.” The series’ creators are keeping the details of the selection methods secret, but say that they will be adapted from “ancient Vedic practices” — similar to those outlined in the Ramayana.
The audience will be asked to vote for a winner, but Ms Sawant will make the final decision on whom she marries, helped by friends, family and a psychologist. Contestants are now being vetted, with background checks being run on each man’s health and wealth.
Explaining how the idea came to her, Ms Sawant said: “I am a cultured Indian woman with good values and I have reached a stage where I need a companion with whom I can share my love, joys, sorrows and success.
“I want to solemnise my marriage in the presence of all my fans who have been supportive of me throughout — and what better way than getting married on national television?”

In a profession that witnesses ugly cat fights due to cut throat competition, Rani Mukherjee has taken the first step of complimenting a co-artist for her performance.She surprised Sherlyn Chopra, who has a major role to play in the yet untitled Yash Raj Films production, by not just lending her tips on how to face the camera but also comparing her with none other than Hollywood legend Sophia Lauren!
The incident happened recently at BPCL Sports Club where the film, which stars Shahid Kapoor as the male lead, was being shot. Rani was in a particularly happy mood and showered praises on the girl who has not signed any other project than this Yash Raj film and is riding her luck on this single film.
She went ahead and called Sherlyn as a younger version of Hollywood legend Sophia Lauren. Since few years back, Bipasha Basu was compared with Sophia Lauren, Sherlyn was naturally ecstatic.
"Sophia Lauren comparison? Well, all I can say is that I am humbled. I think Rani has been overtly nice, but hey, who doesn't like compliments?
Being someone who is so mature and serious about her work, I sincerely hope that she really meant it when she said so. I would love to keep getting feedback and compliments from an actor of her stature", smiles Sherlyn.

Moreover, for the shooting of a particular sequence, even though Rani Mukherjee was not required, she still hung around to see the way Sherlyn approached her scene.
Informs a source, "Sherlyn didn't have any clue that Rani was watching her on the monitor, especially for her close up shots. She was engrossed in her performance and was later told by one of the production unit members that Rani was very interested in knowing how she was delivering."The 'bindaas' and 'outrageous' young woman is happy that she was oblivious of Rani's presence on the sets.
"Thank goodness, that I came to know about it later because I would have been conscious had I known earlier that Rani was following what I was doing. You never know, I may not have delivered my natural best", says Sherlyn who is looking at reinventing her career while leaving the disappointment of Red Swastik (2007) behind.
As per a source from the production unit, Rani was watching Sherlyn's close up shots with keen interest as she is apparently quite fond of her never ending desire to learn the nuances of the art of portraying emotions. In fact, Rani also gave her tips on how to face the camera and explained to her how important it is to know technical details of the varied camera lenses.
"Sherlyn was glad that Rani was spending so much of quality time in discussing technical nuances with her", informs the source, "Sherlyn has done only a few films but Rani has been around for so long.
She is a reigning star and for someone like her to spend time with her says volumes about her humbleness and professionalism. She was being a friend as well as a mentor, a good combination indeed. Who wouldn't want to learn from a senior actor like her?"

No cheese, milk, butter or even curd for Mallika. The role was a stretch for the vegan actress. “ The role I play was very demanding. In the film I’m sexy, venomous and I swallow whole.” she said.
Sexy Mallika, rumoured to be Playboy India’s first cover girl when it launches soon, credits vegetarianism for her great
figure. In a recent reply to a fan on a social networking site, Mallika wrote: “I am indeed veg and proud of it! How do u think I maintain this body figure?”
Mallika’s not the only sexy vegetarian in Bollywood — Amitabh Bachchan has been leading the pack for a while now.
And PETA India (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) believes all Indians should follow suit. PETA has launched a
campaign to get the world to abstain from meat for at least a day, on June 5, to reduce carbon emissions produced from non-vegetarian fare.
PETA has a bevy of stars in their kitty of ambassadors for vegetarianism — including John Abraham, Celina Jaitley, R Madhavan and Jiah Khan — and will hopefully soon shoot a campaign with Mallika, said Anuradha Sawhney, chief functionary, PETA India. For this year’s World Environment Day, the organisation is working on campaigns with wrestler Sushil Kumar and actress Malaika Arora Khan.
They have also called on Amitabh Bachchan to serve only vegetarian food at the upcoming IIFA Awards and has strengthened its campaign against fastfood chain KFC. There were protests against the chain with placards on Thursday in CP. A spokesperson from the chain said that while they “appreciate PETA’s concern”, they feel they are “being targeted for publicity.”
Arjun Rampal to start A New Restaurant

MOST people would've been driven crazy if they were shuttling between work, moving into a new house in Mumbai and opening a restaurant in Delhi. But the dishy Arjun Rampal's very busy and happening life elicits a wide grin. "This is indeed one of the best phases of my life. Everything seems perfect - we moved into our new house, a penthouse in Bandra, early this week. We're both decorating our house the way we want and at the pace we enjoy," he beams.Lap - the restaurant he is opening in Delhi's posh neighbourhood of Malcha Marg in collaboration with restaurateur A. D. Singh - offers him more reasons to beam about. The restaurant is being designed by Sandeep Khosla of the famed Abu-Sandeep duo. "I've been shuttling between the two cities, to oversee the work for the restaurant. It's a project close to my heart since I'm quite a foodie." While in Mumbai, he frequents Singh's Olive, China House at Grand Hyatt and Aurus in Juhu. The 36-year-old, however, chose Delhi for this pet project because that's where he spent his early years. "I know a lot of people there and, besides, I found a lovely space in the city, which is growing in terms of hospitality."
The restaurant, likely to open its doors in August, aims to create a benchmark in world cuisine while keeping the ambience casual and easy. "The ambience of an eatery plays a key role and is almost as important as the food one serves as it sets the pace of the evening and the meal for the guest," he smiles his Buddha-like smile.
While most will insist that his divine smile is his USP, it's the devilishly gorgeous actor's intense character, Joe Mascarenhas, in Farhan Akhtar's Rock On!! that won him a slew of awards this year. And Rampal hopes that with forthcoming films, like Prakash Jha's Rajneeti, where he plays a character with political undertones, and Sajid Khan's Housefull, which will see him in a "comic role like never before", he will continue his run at the awards.
This model-turned-actor's chiselled looks recently also brought him an international commercial for Schweppes opposite Hollywood diva Nicole Kidman, shot in Udaipur's Lake Palace. The offer - his first international commercial - did come as a surprise and Rampal's stroke of luck continues as the ad, uploaded on youtube.com, has already had 400 million hits. "It's phenomenal and flattering," he exclaims. "I'm really content with the way my life is shaping up - it's well-rounded and balanced. I hope I can stay focussed on my career and not disappoint anyone. Though my job is like a roller-coaster ride, I think the ups and downs have been worth it."
