Richa Pallod

Richa Pallod had a dream debut in Kollywood opposite Ilayathalapathy Vijay in Shahjahan, and made quite an impression with her petite look and charming presence. However, the actress failed to make it to thebig league , did a few smaller movies, a couple of supporting roles and then -- went off the radar. Even her stint in Tollywood was near negligible. But that does not mean she has moved on and away from showbiz.

Richa is now ready to enter round 2. She has a Tamil flick in hand, and the confidence that this time, she won't slip into the background. But she insists that she will not settle for mindless roles either. "People may say that I have done only a few films.

The reason is I will not settle for roles that have no meaning. I just cannot bring myself to do mindless roles," she says with conviction. Titled Nalvaravu, Richa's upcoming movie is opposite debutant Venuchandra, whose father is producing the film. Richa hopes that Nalvaravu will add wings to her career and help her soar higher than before.

Remember the actress called Amoha in Jay Jay movie opposite Madhavan? Yes she is Ram Gopal Varma's former muse Nisha Kothari and she was seen in a lot of glamorous roles in Hindi, including movies like 'Sarkar James' and 'RGV ki Aag'.

The latest news is that Malavika's role has been handed over to Nisha Kothari, after the actress walked out of the sets of 'Karthikai' last month. A few days back, Malavika had alleged that the producer of the film had tried to get fresh with her, after she refused to do a scene on a swing due to her pregnancy.

Malavika, who is currently expecting her first child, had been roped in to do the shrew's role of 'Indrani' in the movie in which Vikramadithya and Samiksha play the lead. The movie is produced by Anjaneyulu and directed by Veera.

Pandhayam

S.A. Chandrasekaran's Pandhayam is gearing up for release and the camp's current favourite, Vijay Antony, is the composer. Including Antony, the director's introductions have by and large blossomed well. Nithin Sa thya has been roped in for the lead role. The young actor who showed promise even in his earlier films is being pitted against Prakashraj, who plays the baddie. "Nithin will go places after Pandhayam," says SAC. "It was with my Sattam Oru Iruttarai that Vijayakanth made a mark. Why, actors Rehman, Mamta Kulkarni and Simran shot to fame with my films," he adds. Of course, the most successful of them all is Vijay - whom dad SAC made hero in his Naalaiya Theerpu. Nithin is the next in line

Genelia

Genelia

Genelia D'Souza, the 'Santosh Subramaniyam' girl who is making it big in Tollywood and Bollywood alike, has denied reports of any relationship with Riteish Deshmukh. She teamed up with the actor for her first Hindi film 'Tujhe Meri Kasam'.

'I'm very much single. Riteish is my friend. But that's it. I've no idea where these rumours emerge from. We're both very busy. When we occasionally meet up, we're normal with each other,' says the actress about the gossip on their relationship.

Stating that she was never that keen on an acting career, Genelia says, "But when I saw how I was appreciated down south, I fellin love with the industry. I've been lucky. I didn't plan anything. So far it's been an awesome journey."

Genelia

Genelia, who debuted in Kollywood through the Shankar directed film 'Boys' and rose to absolute stardom with the blockbuster 'Santosh Subramaniam', is an infrequent kind of an actress who has the rare combination of both the suave performance and charming looks.

With more and more of her films becoming major hits at the box office of Kollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood, Genelia has been flooded with offers from producers and her schedule has become too hectic to commit herself to other projects. But despite her chalk-a-block schedule, the actress always looks refreshingly different.

When she was asked on her fresh looks, Genelia answers in her trademark style as, 'Is it? I don't know. I guess I am just growing up. Perhaps the reason could be my 'take it easy' attitude like Hasini in 'Santosh Subramaniam'. I am neither irked nor bothered by things happening around me. I am always cool, confident and cheerful.'
